TYPES OF FOUNDATION BOLT
1. L-Type Foundation Bolts.
L-type foundation bolts are l-shaped bolts that are used to grab concrete. The bolt threads are outcropped for a surface to attach structural systems on to. These bolts often anchor medium-weight machines and structures.
2. J-Type Foundation Bolts.
These bolts have a design which is J-shaped. This design allows for deeper embedment in concrete. These are used for heavy-duty applications, such as securing the base of steel structures and industrial machines and large equipment. .
3. Eye Foundation Bolts.
These foundation bolts are turned at right angles in the form of an ‘eye’ at one end. On the other end, there is a crosspiece for setting in concrete. This offers superior holding power as well as resistance to pull-out. The products are used for securing cables and steel rods to help withstand strong movements while allowing flexibility where needed. .
4. Plate Foundation Bolts.
Plate-type foundation bolts resemble an inverted ‘T’. After inserting them into the wet concrete, the one end of these foundations is corkscrewed to allow them to connect to the concrete foundations with a nut and a steel plate. These are used to hold down heavy equipment and can be applied in many applications in the construction industry.
